Magdalena Miszewska-Zasadna
She was born in Toruń and graduated from the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz at the Faculty of Instrumental Music. She also graduated from the Post-Graduate School of Instrumental Music, majoring in accordion. Since 2002, she has taught the accordion class at the Karol Szymanowski Schools of Music in Toruń. Many students from her class received honourable mentions at regional, national and international competitions and festivals. In the years 2005-2015, she closely cooperated with the Toruń Symphony Orchestra as a host at music shows organised by the orchestra for kindergartens, primary schools and secondary schools from Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province. She has been the master of ceremonies at various concerts organised by the Toruń Symphony Orchestra. Since 2017, she has been a member of the management board of the Pomeranian Music Society in Toruń. She hosts and plays concerts organised by the Pomeranian Music Society. She runs her own concert business and performs as a soloist and chamber musician. She is passionate about Polish folklore. Since 1999, she has been a member of the Ziemia Bydgoska Song and Dance Ensemble, with which she gives concerts in Poland and abroad. In November 2018, she was awarded the decoration of honour Meritorious for Polish Culture by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
