This concert guarantees the audience an unforgettable experience, featuring a captivating selection of works from Europe’s most outstanding operas and the renowned musicals of Broadway. The compositions of S. Moniuszko will provide a unique and eminently Polish musical journey. Among these, This Old Clock stands out, showcasing the vibrant colours of Polish sound, while two other songs pay homage to rural traditions. We will delve into the realm of aspirations for fame and wealth with If I Were a Rich Man, and be transported to the idyllic island of Bora Bora through the piece Some Enchanted Evening. The concert will also pay tribute to the timeless classics of R. Strauss, and explore the romantic sensibility of R. Schumann. Prepare to be immersed in the tragic love story of Romeo and Juliet, set against the backdrop of New York City, through the moving song Somewhere from West Side Story. The ground-breaking music of Schubert will transport us to the gates of Hades itself. The aria from Mozart’s opera Don Giovanni, widely regarded as a pinnacle achievement in the history of opera, will grace the stage, leaving a lasting impression on all who listen. Lastly, an aria from the opera La Bohème will leave the listeners with the memories of the vibrant and colourful world of Bohemian Paris.
