Piotr Wrombel

A pianist, composer and arranger. He graduated from the Academy of Music in Katowice, where he studied at the Faculty of Jazz and attended the class of Professor Wojciech Niedziela. He is a representative of the younger generation of jazz musicians. He has won jazz festivals and competitions such as Jazz Juniors, Jazz on the Oder and the Jazz Improvisation Competition. He also plays keyboard instruments. He participates in many diverse jazz projects. He is a universal pianist who can easily navigate different styles of jazz music. He is also active on the gospel, soul and pop music scene. He works with artists such as Edyta Górniak, Ewa Uryga, Kasia Cerekwicka, Tatiana Okupnik, Zbigniew Namysłowski, Krzesimir Dębski, Wojtek Mrozek, Zbigniew Lewandowski, Janusz Szrom, Ryszard Rynkowski and Krzysztof Zawadzki. He also plays in big bands and popular orchestras, such as Kukla Band, Alex Band and Tomek Szymuś Orchestra. He has given concerts in many European countries and in the United States. He has performed with artists such as Rick Margitza, Dean Brown, Mike Russell and Melanie Goerlitz. In recent years, he became engaged in teaching activities. He teaches jazz piano classes at the University of Lublin and at the Second-level Music School at ul. Bednarska in Warsaw. For many years, he has participated in International Jazz Workshop in Chodzież, where he has led the rhythm section that accompanies jazz singers from the class of Janusz Szrom.
